We are currently seeking a highly skilled Technical Purchaser with a strong understanding of engineering and HGV equipment, processes, and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring technical parts and components, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining a high standard of quality.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Source and procure technical parts and components in line with company requirements and specifications.

• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine procurement requirements.

• Develop and maintain technical component specifications and documentation.

• Evaluate and approve supplier quotations and negotiate pricing and delivery terms.

• Ensure timely delivery of all purchased technical items.

• Work with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in technical procurement.


Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience in technical purchasing, with a strong understanding of engineering and HGV equipment, processes, and procedures.

• Very strong technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical components.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

• Knowledge of HGV regulations and compliance requirements.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000pa
